Rudolph Foods, the world’s largest manufacturer of pork rinds, is celebrating National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 14-20, 2014, celebrating the spirit of the American truck driver with a ten-week campaign that begins July 15. Rudolph Foods will pay tribute to truck drivers across America by asking them to submit a photo of their “rig” for a chance to win $1500 and a year’s supply of pork rinds. The campaign will be supported by brands that include Rudolph’s, Southern Recipe, Pepe’s and Lee’s Pig Skins. Details of the campaign can be found on PorkRinds.com

In an effort to celebrate the more than 3.1 million hard working truck drivers in our country who travel nearly 400 billion miles each year, from July 15-August 17, Rudolph Foods will ask truck drivers across America to enter the contest by submitting a photo of their “rig”, inside or out, to be voted as one of the best rigs on the road. Drivers can submit their photos via Facebook or a photo uploader on PorkRinds.com. On August 18 a panel of experts will choose the top 8 submissions and consumers will then be asked to vote for their favorite “rig” on Facebook. Voting will take place from August 20-September 20, 2014 on both the Rudolph Foods and Southern Recipe Facebook pages, and Rudolph Foods website. The photo with the most votes will win a $1,500 cash prize from Rudolph Foods and a year’s supply of pork rinds. The winner will be announced September 22. Additionally, those who vote will be entered into winning daily prize giveaways throughout Truck Driver Appreciation Week on Facebook at Facebook.com/RudolphFoods and Facebook.com/SouthernRecipe.

“We salute these men and women who are at the very foundation of our company and our dinner tables,” said Mark Singleton, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Rudolph Foods. “Hosting a contest for truckers to show off their ‘rig’ for a chance to win cash and a crunchy road-time snack is our way of saying thank you.”

Members of the community, Facebook fans, friends and family of truck drivers across America are encouraged to follow along with the campaign using hashtags #TruckDriverAppreciationWeek and #TruckDriver, in addition to voting for their favorite photo.
