Aadji & Manten International, LLC., a Rockville, Md., establishment, is recalling approximately 1,108 pounds of canned corned beef products not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

The canned corned beef products were imported from Brazil on March 15, 2015. The following products are subject to recall: 123 cases plus 3-340g individual cans of “LASER CORNED BEEF” with “BEST BEFORE END 03/10/2019” on the products.

The products bear the establishment number “EST. Brazil 337” inside the country’s mark of inspection. These products were shipped to retail locations in Maryland and Virginia and are currently on route to a distributor in California. The problem was discovered during routine review of product tracking records by FSIS employees.

FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
