The National Pork Board is kicking off the summer grilling season with two promotional platforms to get consumers cooking their favorite pork chops all season long. This year, retailers have two options when merchandising pork, both featuring mouth-watering photography and cooking tips to ensure consumer have the best eating experience when they put pork on the grill.

The Grill Crashers
The Grill Crashers point-of-sale materials focus on the great flavor options consumers have when preparing pork chops this summer, featuring recipes for Sugar & Spice New York Pork Chops, Saucy Salsa Ribeye Bone-in Pork Chops and Cider Brined Porterhouse Pork Chops. The POS kits include a meat case sign, on-pack labels, recipe cards, degree of doneness rail strips and website banner ads.

Pork Grills Like A Steak
The Pork Grills Like A Steak point-of-sale materials feature tempting photography of a Porterhouse Chop, T-Bone Chop and a New York Chop and a guide to cooking temperatures for various doneness levels. The POS kit includes a meat case sign, on-pack labels, degree of doneness rail strips and online banner ads.

“We’re looking forward to a very successful grilling season this year,” said Patrick Fleming, director of retail marketing for the National Pork Board. “We have an increase in supply and moderating prices. We hope retailers will capitalize on this opportunity by featuring pork consistently throughout the summer.
