North American Meat Institute (NAMI) President and CEO Barry Carpenter announced the promotion of Anne Halal from vice president to senior vice president of exposition, education and member services. Halal has served at NAMI for 14 years and oversees all logistical and promotional arrangements for the annual tradeshow, and for Institute and Foundation meetings, workshops and events.

“Anne Halal’s leadership and expertise in meeting and conference management have proven invaluable to the Meat Institute, to our members and to the entire industry,” said NAMI President and CEO Barry Carpenter. “This well-deserved promotion reaffirms the important role Anne plays as part of our team.”

Following the January 1, 2015, merger of the American Meat Institute and North American Meat Association, Halal assumed leadership responsibilities for the Member Services and Education departments. She is also the staff liaison to the NAMI Supplier Committee.

Halal has more than 20 years of experience with various trade associations, having worked as an account executive for NaylorCMG and at the International Inline Skating Association, Citizens for a Sound Economy and the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and is Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM), a globally recognized designation that demonstrates the highest professional standard throughout the exhibition and event management arena.
