An employee working at an Allen Harim plant in Harbeson, Del., was killed in an accident last week. The employee, whose name was not released, suffered serious head trauma on Friday, October 5 while changing the battery on a pallet jack.

According to the Delaware News Journal, the employee was struck by the battery as it was being lowered. The replacement battery was secured to an electric hoist and being lowered by a lever, police said. But it got hung up on the corner of another battery sitting next to the jack, police said. The employee leaned forward to guide it off the obstruction, police said. When he did, the battery came down and struck him.
