Fire destroys Pennsylvania meat market

A fire Wednesday morning destroyed Palumbo's Meat Market, located in West Middlesex, Pa. The building was also the home of the company's owners, Keith and Debra Palumbo. The building is a total loss, including the Palumbo's home. It appears the fire started near a smokehouse at the back of the business, reports WYTV News.

Damage is estimated in excess of $450,000. The family said the community has shown their support.

"Good customers, and so much support this morning. People brought us things and clothes. They gave us a lot of help already this morning," Keith Palumbo said.
A note on the company's website states, “We have recently experienced a devastating fire at our West Middlesex Meat Market and have lost all of the orders that have been placed for Easter and otherwise. Thankfully, we have just opened our BRAND NEW Sandy Lake market that is a full service meat market just like our West Middlesex Market. We would like to thank everyone for your business and patience in helping us resubmit your orders.”
