Monogram acquires corn dog maker

Monogram Food Solutions LLC has acquired Hinsdale Farms of Bristol, Ind. Hinsdale focuses on retail private label customers and co-packing for other manufacturers, reports the Memphis Business Journal. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With the purchase, Monogram adds a 110,000-square-foot plant, which is the company's fourth processed meat facility. All of the 300 employees will be offered positions with Monogram. Hinsdale Farms had been owned by Phillip Smith and Milton Smith, the third generation of the family to run the company.

Monogram will invest $4 million to $5 million in capital improvements at the plant and plans to increase production and employment.
