Thiele’s new bag top registration system optimizes the vertical position of empty bags prior to filling. A servo-driven linear actuator, utilizing information from a vision system, precisely controls bag length, optimizing filling and sealing efficiencies. The bag-top registration system also incorporates a side squaring mechanism to further promote accurate presentation of the bags into the filling and sealing systems. Thiele also developed a new bag deflation system for poly bags utilizing a lift mechanism within the internal poly bag sealing station to squeeze excess air out of a filled bag prior to sealing.
