February New Products: Chicago Meat Authority launches Chipotle Pork Fajita Strips

Chicago Meat Authority (CMA) is proud to introduce Chipotle Pork Fajita Strips into its extensive line of pork and beef items. These pork fajita strips are one-half inch by one-half inch by three inches, and are cut from lean, boneless pork, marinated with CMA’s Chipotle marinade for flavor. Since this product’s raw material is lean pork, it is a healthier alternative to beef fajitas at an excellent price point. Chipotle Pork Fajita Strips are grill-ready and thus ideal for quick cook applications. They are vacuum-packed in 2.5-pound frozen bags with four bags to a 10-pound case. Whether adding a pork fajita dinner or a pork fajita salad to your menu, Chipotle Pork Fajita Strips are definitely a way to add a unique item.

Ruiz Foods introduces new Tornados

Two new flavors of Tornados by El Monterey continue to satisfy the demands of consumers for delicious ‘hot-to-go’ foods that are perfect for any meal or snack and are available at convenience stores (C-stores) and other quick-serve food outlets. The recent introduction by Ruiz Foods includes two new flavors: Chicken Club and Spicy Cheese Steak Tornados by El Monterey. Introduced to the C-store channel approximately five years ago, Tornados by El Monterey are credited with the revitalization of roller grills in convenience stores and quick-serve food outlets. El Monterey Tornados are soft flour tortillas rolled in crispy seasoned batter and stuffed with savory meats and real cheeses melted to perfection.

Steak-umm adds quarter-pound burgers to lineup

Steak-umm Co. LLC is offering a new 1/4-pound Steak-umm Burger that comes eight to a box. The new SKU complements the 1/3-pound Steak-umm Burgers, which were introduced by the company last year as an extension of its well-known premium sandwich steak brand. The frozen, ready-to-cook, 1/4-pound burgers are made of 100 percent USDA-inspected beef chuck. They are designed to offer an alternative for consumers who prefer smaller burgers, more burgers per box, or fewer calories per patty.

Bob Evans offers The BOBurrito

Good things come in small packages, and the new BOBurrito, now available at all Bob Evans locations, is bursting at the seams with deliciousness! With the choice of the Meat Lovers’ or Western variety, customers are sure to enjoy this new twist on the traditional breakfast burrito. The BOBurrito is a flour tortilla stuffed with eggs, shredded Pepper Jack cheese, diced onion, and your choice of fillings: Meat Lovers’ (crumbled sausage, diced ham, and bacon pieces) or Western (diced ham, green and red peppers). It’s garnished with our new Queso sauce (cheese sauce and Ranchero Picante sauce mixed together), topped with diced tomatoes and scallions.
