Weber unveils six-lane 905 Slicing System

Kansas City, Mo. -- Weber Inc. today introduced North American processors to the new 905 Slicing System, with capacity to simultaneously slice and portion up to six 4-inch by 6-inch logs of meat or cheese.
The 905 System expands by 50 percent the throughput of the highest-capacity machine previously available to processors, Weber's own 904. Weber's 905 is the latest evolution in the company's 25-year history of producing the world's highst-capacity slicing technology.
Capable of blade speeds up to 2,000 rpm, the 905 can be autoloaded with products up to 10 feet (3,200 mm) in length and produce perfect slices as thing as 0.5 mm. More than 20 standard presentations can be created with the touch of an LCD screen. Coupled with a Weber Portion Designer, the presentation possibilities are virtually limitless.
Enhancements designed into the new 905 System include six-lane interleaving, as well as Weber's innovative multi-lane checkweighing system for accurate portioning over six separate lanes. The new 905 features also deliver precise tracking for upright, D-shaped logs up to 10 feet in length. Weber engineers have also accomplished automatic, trouble-free loading of geometric shapes.
In addition to production efficiency, slice quality and portion-control improvements incorporated into this system, the design criteria includes enhancements to both worker and food safety. The standard of open equipment architecture and tool-free disassembly set by previous Weber machines is maintained by the design of the 905 System. Easy and time-saving sanitation is built into the equipment.
Available in three standard configurations, the 905 MCS is Weber's most complete answer to today's most difficult slicing challenges. Equipped with the industry's most reliable and sophisticated overlapping mechanism, the 905 MCS precisely places each slice into the desired presentation and automatically feeds a wide variety of packaging machinery.
The full array of new Weber machinery will be on display this Oct. 28-31 at the World Wide Food Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago, in Weber's booth (N1630 -- North Hall). Interested producers may contact the Weber Inc. sales office at 1-800-505-9591 or by email at usasales@weberslicer.com. Additional Model 905 details are availabe on the company's Web site: www.weberslicer.com.
