Praxair ColdFront Even Chill Double Door System featured at IPPE in Atlanta
Praxair Inc. will feature the latest improvements to its automated ColdFront Even Chill System for bulk product chilling at booth 4959 of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) held in Atlanta, January 28 to 30. The Even Chill System debuted in 2013 and was designed specifically to resolve the longstanding issue of inconsistent product temperatures when packing large volumes of product in bulk bins. The Even Chill System provides many customer benefits, including evenly chilled product, lower chilling costs, production floor space savings and easy, sanitary cleanup. In addition, the system boosts productivity, increases yield and improves profitability.
Praxair’s new design offers customers a double-door option for processing areas with limited height restraints, while continuing to provide an automated system for the even distribution of carbon dioxide (CO2) snow in bulk packaging. Automation of CO2 delivery in large bulk bins ensures an even temperature throughout the container, eliminating both hot spots and overcooling. The current single overhead door option helps preserve valuable floor space, while the new double door option is an economic alternative that achieves the identical even distribution of cryogen, which has made the Even Chill System a standout with bulk product processors.
