Federal inspectors have shut down Central Valley Meat Co. in Hanford, Calif., because of unsanitary conditions. FSIS said in a statement that it withdraw inspectors and suspended operations at the plant on Tuesday, reports the Associated Press.
"The plant's suspension will be lifted once we receive adequate assurances of corrective action," the agency said. The company did not return a phone message left by the Associated Press to comment.
