Food Safety Summit half-day workshops to address key industry topics
The 2014 Food Safety Summit will offer four half day workshops on Tuesday, April 8, providing attendees a deeper dive into the most pressing issues with regard to FSMA, One Health, Pre-Requisite Programs and Traceability. The 2014 Summit will take place Tuesday, April 8 through Thursday, April 10 at the Baltimore Convention Center in MD. The half-day workshops will give food safety and quality assurance professional access to industry experts who will provide knowledge and expertise. The half day workshops will be followed by the Welcome Reception from 5:00 - 7:00 pm where attendees will have a chance to meet their State and Local Regulators.
In addition to these four half day workshops The Food Safety Summit will offer 20 conference sessions and two special general sessions. The "CEO Leaders - Their Commitment to Food Safety & Quality" keynote presentation will be on Wednesday, April 9th at 9:30 am. Ed Lonergan, CEO of Chiquita Brands, and Don Zietlow, President and CEO of Kwik Trip, Inc., will share their passions and knowledge for Food Safety through their experiences on how to ensure that the highest quality products are reaching their consumers and customers. On Thursday, April 10th at 9:30 am The Food Safety Summit will host the Annual Town Hall featuring the FDA's Mike Taylor, USDA's Brian Ronholm, and AFDO's Joseph Corby who will address pressing issues in regards to regulatory agencies and the private sector.
