Viz Cattle, a Irvine, California establishment, is recalling approximately 6,082 pounds of flap meat due to misbranding, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products do not list ingredients on the product label; however the product does not contain any undeclared allergens or ingredients of public health concern.
The flap meat beef product was produced on various dates between February 19 and February 26, 2015 and March 2 and March 4, 2015. The following product is subject to recall: 30-lb. cardboard boxes containing “FLAP MEAT TB.”
