The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that Olli Salumeria Americana, LLC., an Oceanside, Calif., establishment, is recalling approximately 5,391 pounds of salami products due to misbranding. The products’ packaging does not contain a list of ingredients, and FSIS wants consumers to be aware that this product was formulated with wine that contains sulfites. Consumption of these products may cause adverse health consequences for consumers who have sulfite sensitivities.
The salami was produced on various dates from Aug. 3-27, 2015. The following products are subject to recall:
