A Trenton, N.J. pork roll maker is being sued by the wife of a former employee who was allegedly fired for excessive gas. According to NJ.com, Louann Clem, who worked alongside her husband, Richard Clem, at Case Pork Roll Co., says in a federal lawsuit filed last month that after her husband received gastric bypass surgery he suffered serious consequences, including "extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea."
The lawsuit claims that Case Pork Roll President Thomas Dolan began to harass the couple over the smell, complaining that it was overpowering the pork roll aroma. The comments continued until Richard Clem was fired on Feb. 28, 2014. Louann Clem quit the same day because of the 'harassment and discrimination'' her husband endured, the lawsuit says.
