In harsh industrial processes safety of workers, the plant and the environment are paramount. Insertion points for in-line sensors can represent a weak spot where leaking process media is a possible hazard. METTLER TOLEDO has developed the InTrac 781/784 series of retractable sensor housings, which are designed to tolerate extreme process conditions. They combine rugged design with installation versatility and ease of use to meet the demands of chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, or utilities applications.
An intelligent locking system ensures operating safety at all times. Without the presence of a sensor the housing's insertion rod cannot be deployed into the process. And the locking system makes it possible to remove the probe only when the insertion rod is fully retracted. This avoids any unintended sensor removal when it is in the measuring position.
