Stellar’s design-build project for premium poultry processor Bell & Evans in Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania, has been chosen as Food Engineering magazine’s December 2016 “Fab Food Plant.” Stellar, a fully integrated firm focused on design, engineering, construction and mechanical services worldwide, provided full design-build and process engineering services for the facility.
Each December, Food Engineering honors a plant as its “Fab Food Plant” and gives readers an inside look “at innovative processors who focus on lean manufacturing, sustainability and food safety.” Bell & Evans’ 160,000-square-foot chicken packaging, storage and frozen processing facility embodies all of these criteria, especially food safety.
