Brazil has ordered three more meat processing plants to suspend production as it investigates allegations that beef processors exported rotten or tainted beef to foreign countries.
The investigation started with 21 plants, six of which were ordered closed by Brazilian health authorities, reports Reuters. The remaining 15 plants are not allowed to export but may produce food for the domestic market. The three newly closed plants are in Parana state, where the scandal has been centered.
