Sainsbury’s, a British grocery chain, will soon launch “touch-free” packaging for its chicken pieces, after research showed that many shoppers under 35 years old were afraid that touching raw meat would cause them to get food poisoning.
The Independent reports that the packaging will debut on May 3. It consists of plastic pouches for chicken pieces that can be opened with a simple tear.
