A new meat-processing operation is coming to Freeman, S.D. Rapid City Journal is reporting that Prairie-to-Plate Enterprises Inc. will establish a butcher shop and meat processing facility along U.S. Highway 81. The facility will also house “The Chislic House,” featuring cubes of fried meat, usually lamb, served on skewers.
The partners in the operation are Will Ortman, Nate Preheim and Tim Kautz, who recently purchased a building previously occupied by Katie’s Malt Shoppe.
