Bar-S has added its 3-pound Turkey Franks to its line of Family Pack Franks. The low-fat Turkey Franks have 40 percent less fat than USDA data for franks, making them a great product for consumers on a low-fat diet, the company relays. Bar-S has added a sixth flavor to its 1-pound bologna line – Bar-S Turkey Bologna. This low-fat Turkey Bologna contains 3 grams total carbohydrates per slice and 40 percent less fat than the USDA data for bologna, making it a great product for consumers on a low-fat or low-carbohydrate diet, the company relays. This product is the latest addition to its line of bologna, which also includes Original, Garlic, Beef, Thick Sliced, and Chicken. Hormel® Deli Foods is expanding its deli offerings nationwide to include DI LUSSO® Genoa salami and DI LUSSO® Sopressata salami. Until now, these two varieties were available only in New York City, where this deli brand of salami ranks No. 1.
Both varieties feature distinctive natural casings, Unlike regular salami, DI LUSSO® Genoa salami undergoes a more delicate drying process without smoking. This keeps the blend of Italian seasonings from getting too bold, and it adds a hint of garlic. The sausage is then hand-tied for added authenticity.
DI LUSSO® Sopressata is based on rural Italian recipes featuring coarsely chopped pork seasoned with whole peppercorns and spices.
