Marinated turkey tenderloins
Cargill Meat Solutions (CMS), producer of Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms turkey products, introduces teriyaki flavor marinated turkey tenderloins. These marinated turkey tenderloins provide a delicious alternative to pork tenderloins, the company relays.
Naturally protein-packed, turkey is a lower fat, healthier choice than any other meal options. It simply cannot be beat for its health attributes, says Dr. Bob Wildman, R.D., a nationally recognized nutrition expert and director of nutrition at Bally Total Fitness. He is also the author of The Nutritionist: Food, Nutrition, and Optimal Health.
The new flavor joins three existing choices in its marinated turkey tenderloin line: Rotisserie, Homestyle, and Lemon Garlic.
Rotisserie is rubbed with a savory blend of onion, peppers, and cilantro
Homestyle features traditional oven-roasted turkey flavor
Lemon Garlic is a blend of tangy lemon and robust garlic
New, more attractive packaging makes the marinated turkey tenderloin products more appealing in grocers’ meat cases. The vacuum package features an attractive, full-panel photo of the prepared tenderloin and the colorful brand treatment on one side. The reverse side is clear, allowing a full view of the product by the consumer. Each package weighs approximately 1.85 pounds and contains two marinated turkey tenderloins.
Introducing DELI LITES
Perdue’s new DELI LITES are lighter alternatives to traditional breaded-chicken products. Created to give consumers and delis versatile lightly-breaded chicken products, these new products have a noticeable lower percentage of breading than traditional breaded-chicken products, the company relays. The light breading produces an appealing homemade look and crispy bite that’s ideal for a range of applications including signature saucing, the company relays.
With only 8 percent breading, DELI LITES Tenderloins are a lighter alternative to traditional breaded tenderloins. The light breading allows sauces to adhere to the chicken making them perfect for creating your signature line of product offerings. Also ideal for specialty chicken sandwiches or chicken dishes, such as easy-to-prepare Chicken Parmesan, the minimal breading of this new product will prove to have multiple uses in the deli. These all-breast meat tenderloins are hand-trimmed to ensure premium quality. NP
