National Beef Kansas plant workers vote for union representation
Workers at the National Beef Packing Co. meatpacking plant in Dodge City, Kan., have voted in favor of union representation. The National Labor Relations Board supervised the two-day election, reports the Associated Press. The agency said Monday that the vote was 1,292 in favor and 824 against representation by the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union.
The union would represent about 2,600 employees in production and maintenance, shipping and receiving, grounds keeping and the warehouse.
