Russia meat and byproducts production up 4.7% in 2011
Russia's meat and byproducts output grew 4.7% in the first 10 months of 2011, compared to 2010's output, the Federal State Statistics Service said, without providing the tonnage.
Reuters reports that meat and byproducts’ output grew 5.7 percent in October to 113,000 metric tons compared with a year earlier. Pork output grew 15 percent to 74,200 tons in October compared with same month in 2010, according to the statement. Poultry output rose 7.9 percent to 258,000 tons.
