Pasou Foods, a Syracuse, Ind. establishment, is recalling approximately 147 pounds of frozen, fully cooked, ready-to-eat pizza stick products because a meat ingredient used in the product may have been produced without the benefit of federal inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.
The products subject to recall are boxes containing 100 "Pizza Stix." Case labels bear the establishment number "EST. 1903" in the USDA mark of inspection and may have been produced this year on Feb. 2 and Feb. 29. The products were sold to a food distributor for further distribution to a caterer and other institutions in Indiana.
