Whole grain corn dogs from Foster Farms win PTPA Seal of Approval
As school resumes around the country, Foster Farms’ new Lower-Sodium, 100% Whole Grain Chicken Corn Dog earned the Parent Tested Parent Approved (PTPA) Winner’s Seal of Approval, crowning a new school lunch offering that parents and children agree on. With more than 40,000 parent testers, PTPA Media is North America’s largest volunteer parent testing community and is regularly highlighted on national morning shows. Families nationwide sampled the new Foster Farms product in their own home kitchens and gave the product superior marks for taste, quality, health and ease of use. The corn dogs, available for foodservice customers including school lunch programs, contain 100 percent whole grain, 47 percent less fat, further reduced sodium, higher fiber, zero trans fat and fewer calories.
In response to new regulations and parental demand, school lunch decision makers continue to explore healthier school lunch offerings. Foster Farms introduced a healthier corn dog to fill the lunchtime need with a happy medium that provides all the taste, crunchy texture and quality of the brand’s favored original corn dog, with an improved nutritional profile. Parent Testers agree; the goal was met, as shown through Parent Tester feedback:
