Chicken breasts recalled due to metal contaminants
Advance Pierre Foods, an Enid, Okla. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,200 pounds of chicken fried chicken breasts that may contain small pieces of metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.
The products subject to recall include 22.75-oz. pouches of Fast Classics Chicken Fried Chicken Breasts and Cases containing six 22.75-oz pouches Fast Classics Chicken Fried Chicken Breasts. The recalled product bears the establishment number "P-2260Y" inside the USDA mark of inspection, and a "best by" date of Jan. 22, 2014, the lot number 1522960202, and a UPC number 75901-33100. The products were distributed in Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
