The Hoeggerequipment places high on Crain's 2023 List of Chicago’s most innovative companies for the second year in a row and receives the Italian CibusTec Award.
The new Pretzel Baconator starts with a grilled half-pound of fresh, never-frozen beef, and is topped with American cheese and six strips of Applewood smoked bacon.
New offerings include smoked thick-cut bacon, breakfast sausage, smoked shredded brisket, smoked pulled pork, and burnt ends along with two flavors of baked beans.
While bacon can boast enduring popularity -- with broad consumer appeal including an almost cult-like status for some bacon fans as evidenced by National Bacon Lover’s Day on Aug. 20 -- deflation persists for the bacon marketplace.
A first for the restaurant, the Eggo Taco features Moe’s adobo chicken topped with bacon, shredded cheese, and chipotle ranch served on a fried Eggo waffle as the taco shell.
