Meat Industry Hall of Fame selects the Class of 2025
The Meat Industry Hall of Fame invites all meat and poultry industry stakeholders to congratulate its Class of 2025.

The Meat Industry Hall of Fame is proud to welcome its latest round of inductees and invites all meat and poultry industry stakeholders to congratulate the Class of 2025.
Following nominations solicited from the industry and voting by past inductees, this year’s class features six inductions, including one joint father-and-son induction, honoring seven leaders in total.
The Class of 2025 includes:
- Mark Miller, Ph.D., Texas Tech University
- Craig Bacon, Ph.D., Simmons Foods
- David Meisinger, Ph.D., US Pork Center of Excellence, retired
- Henry Davis, Greater Omaha Packing Co.
- Fritz and Gary Bernegger, Hillshire Farms Founding Family
- Michael E. Strauss, AEW North America, Ltd.

To celebrate the Meat Industry Hall of Fame Class of 2025, MIHOF is again hosting its annual in-person honors reception and ceremony, with this year’s event set for Jan. 27, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. during the 2026 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga.
The reception is sponsored by Multivac, Diamond Sponsor, Jarvis and Reiser, Gold Sponsors, and the Meat Institute, Bronze Sponsor.
The Meat Industry Hall of Fame originated in 2009 to enshrine the leaders and legends whose visions, skills and dedication have shaped and sustained our industry. The National Provisioner, a media brand established in 1891 to serve the business needs of meat, poultry, seafood and other protein processors, administers and organizes MIHOF, along with support from the MIHOF Board of Trustees.
The National Provisioner invites all meat and poultry industry professionals to join us in commemorating these seven leaders with our industry’s highest honor and recognizing the meat and poultry industry as the leading sector of North American food production.
