Bosch Packaging Technology has appointed Pres Lawhon president and general manager of Doboy Inc. In this role, he will be responsible for all business activities in North and South America related to Bosch’s packaging machinery. Doboy’s technology portfolio includes horizontal flow wrappers, robotics, cartoners, bag closers, and vertical-form-fill-seal equipment with applications across the food, confectionery, and pharmaceutical industries.

Lawhon holds a degree in mechanical engineering and has over 17 years of experience in executive management within the Bosch Group. He joins Doboy from Pacifica Brakes International, a Bosch company, where he was vice president of North American operations.

“Pres Lawhon has a proven history of leadership,” says Friedbert Klefenz, president of Bosch. “We are confident that his experience will contribute to the growth of Doboy’s business, and will further support the leading market position of Bosch Packaging Technology.”

Lawhon says that Bosch’s emphasis on a “global team with a regional focus” is a key advantage when working with Doboy. “We offer the security of a firm with global resources and vast institutional knowledge combined with the customization and customer-oriented approach of a regional provider. We are especially optimistic about the potential for our portfolio of vertical and horizontal machines and we see significant opportunities for growth in our core markets.”
