Provisur Technologies Inc., a leading global provider of high performance food processing equipment, has promoted James “Jim” Petersen to Sales Manager, North America, for its Formax Forming, TST and Weiler product lines.
In his role, Petersen leads a team of account managers in driving the growth among existing and new customers and expanding the Provisur brands in regions throughout North America. His efforts to boost sales of the company’s expansive line of equipment are guided by his proven sales ability, team leadership and strong customer focus.
Petersen honed those skills in his most recent position as Southeastern Account Manager at Provisur. In that capacity, he was responsible for developing and maintaining key accounts in a newly-created territory comprised of six southeastern states. Prior to joining Provisur in 2011, Petersen was Southeastern Regional Sales Manager at CVP Systems, Inc. in Downers Grove Ill., a leader in modified atmosphere packaging systems. While there, he built a robust sales pipeline. He has also worked in sales and marketing and business development for Bettcher Industries and its subsidiary, Gainco Inc.

A member of the Southeast Meat Association, Petersen studied business marketing at the University of Phoenix in Atlanta.
