Mark Garth was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer at Perdue Farms, the company announced. Garth has been with the company since May 2011 as senior vice president of finance.

Before joining Perdue Farms, he was senior vice president, CFO and treasurer at Wells Dairy in Le Mars, Iowa. Before Wells Dairy, he was senior vice president, Planning Analysis, Electric Assembly for Wisconsin-based Plexus Corp., a major producer of electronic manufacturing services.

Garth also was vice president and senior financial officer of Culinary Products for ConAgra Foods, Inc. in Omaha from 2001 to 2005. He began his career at Maytag in 1982.

He has a master’s degree in business administration from Drake Univ., Des Moines, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central College in Pella, Iowa. He is also a certified public accountant, a certified management accountant and a certified internal auditor.
