Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. Launches The Grantwood Meats Brand

Cargill Meat Solutions Corp., Wichita, Kan., is rolling out Grantwood Meats, a beef brand that is intended to meet consumer demand for more convenient packaging.

Delivered vacuum-sealed in a leak-proof package that helps keep beef fresh and freezer-ready, the case-ready brand targets at-home cooks who are time-starved and have little cooking experience, the company notes.

Packages feature an easy peel-to-open tab, cooking instructions and simple recipes for novice cooks, and have a 30-day shelf life from the date of pack.

Traditional beef muscle cuts and roasts are currently available, including Top Sirloin Roast, Flank Steak, Loin Tri-Tip Steak, Chuck Flat Iron Steak and Strip Loin Roast.

Cargill is offering in-store marketing support and a branded Web site, www.grantwoodmeats.com.
