West Liberty completes facility expansion

TREMONTON, Utah – West Liberty Foods LLC on Thursday announced the completion of Phase II of its facility in Tremonton, Utah.

The expansion was reportedly necessitated to accommodate recent growth in both the IQF side as well as the slicing operation. The 24,000 square foot IQF addition features a replica of the initial line that became operational September 2007. The slicing expansion utilizes an existing interior shell, dividing it into 5 single cell slice lines.

The facility also includes the implementation of a new bone detection unit.
