Beacon Inc. has announced that its new CT bacon hanger has received a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent was approved for the CT bacon hanger on Nov. 4. The CT differs from other hangers in that the center four prongs of the hanger have been set approximately an inch below the other prongs of the hanger, giving more support to the cutaneous trunci in a pork belly.
The company said that customers have seen increased yields of one to three percent per belly. The CT was developed over the span of a few months working with customers.
The patent was assigned to Beacon Inc. It is available in all styles, both eight- and ten-prong versions. More information is available at www.beaconmetals.com.
