Meyn now introduces a new bone detection system which combines extraordinary accuracy with unequalled high capacity: the Meyn BoneScan 440 ADX. The system, with an unrivaled capacity of up to 250 butterflies or 440 split fillets per minute, can replace two competitor systems, saving significantly on initial investment, operating cost, labor as well as floor space. The all new dual energy X-ray imaging technology and completely renewed analyzing software guarantee detection rates of 99% or higher with a false reject rate of less than 3% on all important bone types, meeting QSR (Quick Service Restaurants) specifications.
Benchmark tests with competitor systems show that the Meyn BoneScan 440 ADX is taking the lead in scanning accuracy while the throughput is, as always, unmatched. The Meyn BoneScan 440 ADX will detect calcified bones as small as 2 mm. Apart from bones, also metal, glass and stone can be detected. Products that are suspected to contain bone or other contaminants are automatically removed from the product flow and dropped in a bin or onto a discharge conveyor for further manual inspection. The system is easy to operate, clean and maintain.
