Mettler-Toledo Safeline, Inc.
announces the appointment of Robert Scott as product manager of X-ray Inspection in Tampa, Fla. This new position was created to promote the company’s rapidly growing X-ray system business. Robert Scott has nine years of experience in the field of product inspection utilizing X-ray technology. As product manager, Robert will oversee the sale and commissioning of all X-ray units within the Americas. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from the University of Central Florida.
Wixon Inc. has promoted Dean Antczak to director of national sales. In his new role, Antczak will hire, support and train territory sales representatives, develop strategic sales plans, and maintain existing customer relationships. Antczak has been with Wixon for nine years having begun as foodservice product manager, then to regional sales manager. Previous to joining Wixon, Antczak had 14 years of sales and management experience. Antczak is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and served as chairman of the Research Chefs Association for the Chicagoland Region.
Multivac, Inc. has chosen Jason Bohn as its newest regional sales manager handling clients in the food industry. Bohn’s territory includes North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado. He will report to Bob Koch, director of sales for the company’s food division. Prior to this appointment, Bohn served as a technical sales advisor inside Multivac’s food division.
In recognition of a lifetime of accomplishments in food packaging technology, the Food Packaging Division of the Institute of Food Technology has awarded the Riester-Davis Award to Tom Powers, director of marketing and R&D at Multisorb Technologies. The award was presented to Powers at a ceremony during the IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo in Chicago. After receiving the Riester-Davis Award, Powers delivered a lecture on the benefits of a multidisciplinary technical background in developing successful food packaging technology.
Gregg A. Holst has been appointed Omron Electronics LLC’s chief operating officer and president. He assumed the position immediately, filling a 10-month-long vacancy created by the death of the previous COO and president. As chief operating officer, Holst will direct the marketing, sales, and service operations of Omron Electronics LLC in the United States, Latin America and Canada. Omron’s broad range of industrial automation products includes electronic controls, components and systems. Holst comes to Omron from serving as executive vice president of Revere Electric Supply Company in Chicago since 1993. He worked previously in managerial positions at Square D Company in Palatine, Ill., and at General Electric Company in Fairfield, Conn.
Validus Services announces the hiring of Karen Boillot for the newly-created position of director of retail sales. Prior to joining Validus, Boillot spent over nine years with the National Pork Board in Clive, Iowa, and most recently held the position of director of retail marketing. She joined Validus Services in mid-September. Validus is an independent certification company that works with food companies and producers to ensure food is raised using socially responsible on-farm production practices.
Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, has announced that Rick Bullotta has been appointed vice president and chief technology officer of Wonderware. Bullotta will report to Mike Bradley Sr., president of Wonderware. Bullotta was previously a vice president with SAP in Exton, Pa. Bullotta was also the co-founder and chief technology officer of Lighthammer Software Development Corp.
Paul Stephens has joined CSB-System in the Kitchener, Ontario, office as a consultant. Paul recently finished an Honours BMath program at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario. Stephens has worked before in both the food industry and finance industry, and sees this as an opportunity to combine much of his experience into one role. Stephens looks forward to growing with CSB as its Canadian and North American operations continue to expand.
