Boa Vida Imports, a New Bedford, Mass., establishment, is recalling approximately 385 pounds of pork and beef products imported from Portugal because this country is not eligible to export meat products to the United States, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. These products were also not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection. Without the benefit of full inspection, including determining the equivalence of a foreign food regulatory system, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.
The pork meat and beef tripe stew with beans items were produced on various dates between July and October 2014. The following products are subject to recall:
