Tyson K-12 proudly introduces five new Handheld Chicken products for school menus: Whole Grain Tempura Nuggets, Hot & Spicy Grilled Breast Fillet, Homestyle Breaded Boneless Wings, Golden Crispy Pattie, and Lighter. Better. Nugget. The products were launched at the Second Annual Tyson Innovation Premier in Denver during the School Nutrition Association’s Annual National Conference in mid-July. Tyson’s new chicken nuggets, now available in whole-grain tempura breading, are much like the nuggets served at kids’ favorite hamburger restaurants. These fully cooked treats, which provide a 1 ounce of whole grain rich bread credit, can be served in customized portions in line with meat/meat alternate requirements — three to elementary, four to middle, and five to secondary students. www.tysonk12.com
