Bill Rupp has been named president of the beef division of JBS USA, succeeding Richard Vesta. Vesta was named president in March of last year when JBS USA bought the Smithfield Beef Group, reported theGreeley Tribune.

Rupp, 50, was CEO of Meyer Natural Foods, but prior to that, he spent 25 years with Cargill Meat Solutions. He left as president of that company in 2008.

“Bill is a tremendous talent, and we are always looking for that kind of talent,” said JBS USA spokesman Chandler Keys. “When that kind of talent becomes available, you snatch it up.”

Buffalo Wild Wings opens on pace for 1000 restaurants by 2013

Buffalo Wild Wings recently opened its 700th restaurant, located in Tempe, Ariz. That still leaves the company on track to reach its goal of 1,000 restaurants by 2013, reports Zacks.com.

“We believe that with the opening of new restaurants, the company will continue to gain market share in the domestic market,” reported the website. Zacks also noted that the company is planning to make a presence in the international market by opening more than 50 restaurants in Canada over the next five years.
