The Hillshire Brands Co. announced that its board of directors has unanimously determined to withdraw its recommendation of the pending acquisition of Pinnacle Foods Inc.
The Merger will create a diversified network that includes over 2,400 stores, 27 distribution facilities and 20 manufacturing plants with over 250,000 employees.
The resulting company, operating under the name SFK LEBLANC, will be one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-end slaughter, cutting and deboning lines.
