New white paper covers smoothness of different stainless steel materials

Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation recently conducted several surface reading studies on the RA smoothness of different stainless steel materials.

In one of the studies, bead blasted finishes were compared to electropolished finishes under 200X magnification. This study as well as RA (roughness average) tests comparing pickle passivated and electropolished materials are included in the white paper co-produced by Apache and Mepaco, Apache’s food processing equipment group.
