Winn-Dixie Stores and its sister grocery, Bi-Lo Holdings, has filed suit against Tyson Foods, Perdue Farms and Koch Foods, alleging that the companies conspired to fix the price of broiler chickens. The Chicago Tribune reports that the lawsuit comes two months after a federal judge refused to dismiss a previous lawsuit against the companies.

The suit claims that the companies conspired to fix the price of chickens for nearly a decade, in part by “destroying” their own breeder hens and eggs to hamper production, according to a lawsuit. Maplevale Farms, a foodservice distributor in New York, has filed a class-action lawsuit in 2016 that made similar allegations.

Worth Sparkman, spokesman for Tyson, stated to the Tribune that the new lawsuit was an “add-on lawsuit” that “doesn’t change the fact that these claims are unfounded because we’ve not done anything wrong.”
