Pilgrim's Pride Corporation has selected Chaz Wilson, a seasoned international sales operations executive with more than 27 years of industry experience, to lead its Pilgrim’s USA international sales and logistics team.
Wilson previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Grove Services Inc., an international frozen protein distributor and supplier with sales in more than 70 countries. Throughout his career, Wilson has successfully led international poultry sales and operations teams for companies including Seaboard, ConAgra and Pilgrim’s Pride. In his most recent role, he helped establish Grove Services as the third largest exporter of U.S. poultry, driving annual sales volume growth of more than 10 percent.
In his new role, Wilson will guide the Pilgrim’s USA export strategy, managing the sale and distribution of Pilgrim’s products to a diverse range of export destinations, including Mexico, Africa, East Asia, the Middle East and others. He will report to Jayson Penn, president of Pilgrim’s USA.
“We are excited to welcome Chaz Wilson to the Pilgrim’s team,” Penn said. “He is a well-recognized and respected operational and sales leader who enjoys a proven track record of driving bottom line international sales growth for leading U.S. poultry exporters. As global demand for low-cost protein continues to expand and exports become an increasingly important part of our value creation portfolio, Chaz’s leadership and experience will prove invaluable to Pilgrim’s organic growth strategy.”
Wilson has served on the board of directors of the United States Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) since 1998 and served as its Chairman from 2012-2013. He earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Centre College in Danville, Ky.
