A&b Ingredients, Fairchild, nj, Introduces Mirenat®-n, an Extremely Safe, Highly-efficient Anti-microbial Preservative Based on the Lauric Arginate (lae) Compound. Unlike Traditional Anti-microbials, Which are Unfavorably Regarded by Consumers, lae is Derived From Lauric Acid and Arginine, Naturally Occurring Substances With Impressive Health Benefits.
A natural biochemical, lauric acid is a lipid vital to the construction of cellular membranes and known for its anti-microbial properties. Arginine is an amino acid with a host of beneficial properties supported by more than 50 years of research. Among the most compelling are its abilities to enhance immunity, increase muscle mass, speed healing, facilitate the release of human growth hormone (HGH), increase sexual potency, and reverse artherosclerosis.
Mirenat-N can be used in a broad variety of processed foods including meat products such as deli meats; ready-to-eat foods, including tuna salad, potato salad, cole slaw, etc.; and any prepared foods that have limited shelf life or in need of refrigeration.
Mirenat-N is exceptionally effective in controlling a wide range of bacteria, molds, and yeast, can be used successfully at very low levels, and has little or no effect on the taste and texture of the original food product. Mirenat-N is also extremely stable and doesn’t promote resistance in bacteria. Resistance can cause bacteria to mutate, rendering the preservative useless.
