The International Production & Processing Expo is the world's largest annual poultry and egg, meat and animal food industry event of its kind. A wide range of domestic and international decision-makers attend this annual event to find solutions for their business, network with industry colleagues and learn about the latest technological developments and issues facing the industry.
This annual event, planned and hosted by AFIA’s Equipment Manufacturers Committee, focuses on updating the equipment sector of the feed industry on current issues and trends, providing an environment for learning from educational speakers and industry leaders, and brings the industry together to network. Conference attendees include equipment manufacturers, equipment installers, contractors and users of the equipment from the feed manufacturing sector.
It hosts an annual golf tournament to raise scholarship funds, which are distributed through the Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER). All proceeds after expenses from the conference support the Equipment Manufacturers Scholarship Fund.
Planned and hosted by AFIA's Liquid Feed Committee, this is the only event nationwide that focuses on the liquid feed industry, from current issues to growth to education and development. The event has been running for more than 45 years and is designed to educate and promote all segments of the liquid feed industry, including manufacturers, nutritionists, equipment manufacturers, sales and marketing, and additional industry support companies. Typically, the symposium also inducts someone into the Liquid Feed Hall of Fame and administers the Kenny Berg Research and Education fund, which is housed within IFEEDER. Members can also see the liquid feed handbook and past LFS proceedings on the member website.
The American Feed Industry Association is hosting a Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance Preventive Controls (FSPCA) for Animal Food training. Attendees will receive a FSPCA PCQI certificate after completion of the course.
The training was developed by the FSPCA and is the “standardized curriculum” the Food and Drug Administration recognizes as adequate for PCQI training. Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a PCQI.
AAMP's annual convention is geared toward U.S., Canadian, and foreign operators of small and very small firms in the meat, poultry & food business: packers, processors, wholesalers, HRI, retailers, caterers, deli operators, home food service dealers, and catalog marketers.

In recent times, our industry has been guarding against the potential threat of African swine fever and dealing with several outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza. It is apparent that biosecurity is a constant need, not just a one and done plan. The American Feed Industry Association’s Nutrition Committee is hosting a program on this topic in conjunction with the 2023 International Production & Processing Expo, taking place Jan. 24-26. "Biosecurity: Preparedness Must Be Perpetual” will highlight the need for continued focus on biosecurity for the animal agriculture industry.
