Dur-A-Flex launches game-changing new product at World Of Concrete 2017

By Industry News
Accelera S Floor System 900.jpg
January 18, 2017

Dur-A-Flex, Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial, industrial and institutional seamless, resinous floor and wall systems, has expanded its Accelera Fast-Track Flooring family with the introduction of Accelera S. The most revolutionary product of the Accelera family to date, Accelera S is a smooth, high-gloss floor system consisting of two coats of a single pigmented material, each coat offering cure times as fast as 2 hours. Accelera S replaces the customary primer, base coat and topcoat, three-day process of the past and allows contractors to complete a full floor system, prep through topcoat, in as little as a single day. This groundbreaking new floor system is bound to transform the industry by allowing resinous floors to be installed in a timeframe that was previously unattainable, all with low odor.

“We’re thrilled to launch this groundbreaking product at World of Concrete where all eyes in the industry are looking for the next innovation that will change their businesses. We truly believe we have that game-changer with Accelera S,” states Peter V. Ferris, President and Chief Operating Officer for Dur-A-Flex, Inc. “With Accelera S, contractors can schedule a previously weeklong project into a day; essentially quadrupling their project output while working within the same timeframe and with the same crew size.”

Accelera S is an extension of the Accelera Fast-track flooring family. A proven technology with three years in the industry and over one million square feet already installed, Accelera has become the go-to choice for critical facilities such as pharmaceutical and healthcare operations that need a superior floor system without halting operations.

By using Accelera, contractors no longer need to schedule lengthy project timelines due to the 8-12 hour cure times historically seen with epoxy. Accelera’s low odor paired with its lightning-quick turnaround time, minimizes or eliminates interruption to business in the facilities where it’s being installed and that serves as a winning solution when presented to end-users and architects alike.

Named one of the “Best Places to Work in CT” for the fifth time by the Hartford Business Journal-sponsored awards program, Dur-A-Flex, Inc. is a privately-held, leading manufacturer of quality epoxy, urethane, methyl methacrylate and colored aggregates offering a complete line of high performance polymer flooring and wall systems. The versatile seamless applications provide improved safety, minimal downtime and easy maintenance to all industries.
