Dur-A-Flex strategizes with new director of marketing
Dur-A-Flex, Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial, industrial and institutional seamless, resinous floor and wall systems, has appointed Daniel Allen as Director of Marketing. Dan began his career formulating products as a chemist at National Starch and Chemical Company. In 2002, he moved to Borden Chemical, which later expanded to Hexion Specialty Chemicals and further to Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. Dan rose through the ranks, working in a Technical Sales and Service role, as well as a Field Market Development Leader, until he was named Marketing Manager in 2007. With an impressive track record for developing and driving growth strategies, Dan became a Six Sigma Black Belt ultimately moving into a leadership role as their Global Six Sigma Master Black Belt for Growth. In this role he developed strategies and hired, trained and mentored Growth Black Belts across all regions of the company.
After 3 years in that role, Dan transitioned to J.A. King and Company to serve as their Industry Business Manger, Chemical and Energy. In this role he implemented a market focused approach to key industries, supplemented with marketing content such as monthly newsletters, technical training and growth tools for the Sales Team.
“Dur-A-Flex has followed a well designed growth trajectory over the past 5 years,” notes Peter V. Ferris, President and Chief Operating Officer. “Dan will extend this growth period by focusing on new marketing strategies for our current product lines as well as discovering potential markets where Dur-A-Flex’s product line would solve an industry need. He has a proven track record and we’re excited to see where he can take Dur-A-Flex as we head into our 51st year in business.”
