Sara Lee Corp. (NYSE: SLE) today announced that Sally Grimes, 41, will become chief innovation officer of Hillshire Brands Company (Sara Lee’s North American business) after the spin-off of its International Coffee and Tea business.
Sara Lee Corp. revealed its strategy for its North American foods business, Hillshire Brands Co., which emphasized new product development, marketing investment and disciplined cost control.
Upon completion of the proposed spin-off, Christopher Begley, current director of Sara Lee Corp. and the former chairman and chief executive officer of Hospira, Inc., will serve as non-executive chairman of the board of MeatCo.
